Definition
Background and Post Clearance Sampling: A means by which through observation and scientific methods, industrial hygienists are able to attaining historical and current base-line data information for the eventual post clearance testing. Education Note: In catastrophic disasters, such as from fires and floods, much of the historical and base-line data has been destroyed since the building's microflora will have been changed, and new baseline data must be established for the building and its occupants after restoration.
